From the Apple menu  in the corner of your screen, choose About This Mac. You should see the macOS name, such as macOS Big Sur, followed by its version number. If you need to know the build number as well, click the version number to see it.

FlightGear-2.4.0 - runs on Mac OS X 10.7, 10.6, and 10.5, intel and ppc; fgcom fix for Mac OS X 10.5 users. Fgcom in 2.4.0 release package does not work on OS X 10.5 since a part of it is built for OS X 10.6 or later. This causes the simulator running on OS X 1.5 unexpected exit when fgcom is enabled. To fix this, you can download and install.
